Multibeam Data Validation & processing

Target group

Nowadays, high data volumes are being collected by advanced multibeam systems. What are efficient ways of dealing with these amounts of data for nearly real time data processing during data collection, while ensuring data quality? And what are good ways for processing and validation after the fact? With the final products in mind, in this training, the participant will learn effective techniques for multibeam data processing and validation, to get the result that meets the client demands. In this training we will looking into QPS and Beamworx software, but other software can be discussed on request. This course is not only intended for people who have no previous experience in multibeam survey, but also for people who already work in the survey industry, and are looking to increase efficiency in processing and validation of multibeam data. The course is focusing on software for Multibeam Survey. 

Prerequisite training

Using / knowledge of Multibeam sounding systems in actual practice or the Skilltrade Introduction to Hydrography course.
