Introduction to Offshore Survey Project Management

Target group

This course is intended for candidates who have extensive survey or relevant offshore experience, who have grown in their technical field of expertise, and who are intending to take their career Project Management.

Objective

Improving the overall knowledge and appreciation of managing offshore projects.

Content

This course deals with the key processes required to successfully manage a project from its initiation through to close-out.

Training subjects

The five stages discussed are:

· Project Initiation

· Project Planning

· Project Execution

· Project Monitoring and Tracking

· Project Close-out

Prerequisite training

In order for the participant to get most out of this course, it would be beneficial if the participant has basic understanding of project planning and resources as well as the financial and commercial aspect of a project. In addition to this, it also helps if the participant has some experience in managing project teams.
